Michael Johnson has written this manual for the young adults off to college. He was very careful to include the popular 'what if' questions that many students will have, especially when leaving home for the first time. He stays true in providing scripture quotes to support his answers and suggestions, and even hits on topics such as revenge, empowerment, finances and even forgiveness. There is also a parent/child contract example and he encourages students to stay true to their beliefs when leav Michael Johnson has written this manual for the young adults off to college. This manual will provide christian students with a decent set of armor before venturing into a world where they can be easily swayed into an unhealthy lifestyle. This would be a great gift for christian parent's and their young family members or friends who are heading out the door for their first college experience. The College Field Manual: A Young Adult's Guide to Faith, Finances, and Education, should be carried by campus bookstores and their libraries. Hats off to Michael Johnson for caring this much about the future of young adults.

This book is full of truth and excellent advice written in a down to earth, easy to read way that will not make any young person feel left out. I would strongly suggest this book for a first year college student class at a Christian College or for a Bible study for senior year high school students before leaving home for college. The book is written in a college text type format, and would be easier to use in a group study than in an individual setting. The study guide that goes along with this manual is an indispensable resource. Should be required reading for eighteen year-olds!
