Sweet Nectar an Anthology of Poetry by Cindy Smith-Jordan This book is an intense collection of erotic poetry. For the most part the poems were very engaging, however; some didn't grab my interest, nor provoke thought. This is Cindy Smith-Jordan’s first solo attempt at a collection, so that may explain the weak points in the book. When Cindy Smith-Jordan is good, she’s great! !!! Sweet Nectar an Anthology of Poetry by Cindy Smith-Jordan This book is an intense collection of erotic poetry. For the most part the poems were very engaging, however; some didn't grab my interest, nor provoke thought. This is Cindy Smith-Jordan’s first solo attempt at a collection, so that may explain the weak points in the book. When Cindy Smith-Jordan is good, she’s great! Her poems will captivate your senses, tantalize your intellectual libido, and get your juices flowing. It is defiantly a conversation starter. The book begins with a drawn out dedication, bio, and acknowledgement. Had I wanted to read the author’s auto-biography I wouldn’t have chosen an erotica book! Excerpt: “…To your surprise As your penis Begins to rise Your mouth is watery From the anticipation Of that succulent Nectar…” Within the pages of this book there are poems that are sensual and then some that are more direct. In this excerpt from the title poem “ Sweet Nectar ” you can see the author is capable of evoking emotion while staying within a sensual theme. Excerpt: “…Men Whore that is what You are Dicking Sticking Licking or just Plain old Fucking…” This book is erotic but at times borders on obscene. In this excerpt, from the poem “ Men Whore ”, some of the language is pressed together crudely, but it makes an impact. Obviously not all the poems in this book are appropriate to set the mood. I wish the author had separated these proses into sections, or created a separate collection altogether. Ironically, “ Men Whore ” is my favorite poem in the entire book. If you dive into it prepared for the scattered themes and sometimes uncomfortable prose the book is worth the read. Review provided by DJ Harris (aka DJ6ual):

   Sweet Nectar an Anthology of Poetry is a very powerful, erotic, emotional, sensual and beautiful book of poetry. I really could not put the book down and even read it to my Husband. I won this book in the goodreads first reads giveaways and am so happy that I did because it's a true treasure! I am very pleased to now own and possess it in my book collection. The Author was kind enough to sign it for me also. Sweet Nectar an Anthology of Poetry is a very powerful, erotic, emotional, sensual and beautiful book of poetry.
