Sensing that Stella needed help, in a burst of magic (from her own hands) Bloom creates a force field and holds them off. When the threat ceased Stella is exhausted and passes out from possible energy loss. When she comes to she's at Bloom's house with a very disbelieving father and sympathetic mother. Stella does her best to show and tell Bloom's parents that every word is true, and she's a fairy from another dimension known as Solaria. Even when she uses her magic, Bloom's father still isn't hearing it. Stella convinces Bloom that she's a fairy also and then shows her Alfea School For Fairies located in Magix. Meanwhile, Knox and the Trolls on orders from a mystery source (who we know is the Witches of Cloud Tower) are sent back out to find Stella and steal her scepter. They track them to Bloom's house and lose track of their scent momentarily (when Stella takes Bloom to Alfea via maportation) but then when they sense then again the attacks ensue. With another blast of her newfound powers, Bloom again rescues Stella and saves her parents. The Red Mountain guys show up to take Knox and the other's away. Fast forward to present day with Bloom in her dorm room and the other members of the Winx Club with her stating there's no place she'd rather be after making the decision to go to Alfea. MY THOUGHTS: I don't know why they split episode 1 into this issue and issue 1. I've already given my thoughts on the first episode so there's not much new I have to add to this one. (READ MY REVIEW FOR THE FIRST ISSUE) RATING: 7 I guess if you never watched the cartoon (which isn't likely if you're reading this) this would be a good issue to start with if you don't care about reading them out of order then this one probably should definitely go first. But it was a little irritating to me because I wanted something new and not to go back to the first half of the same story.

Review first post on Uptown Oracle A Friend for Bloom is a flashback comic to tell the others how Bloom and Stella met in Winx Club Season 1, Episode 1 “An Unexpected Event”. It introduces us to both Bloom and Stella, and the beginning of their close friendship, giving reason why they’re the closest of the group in previous comics. I defintely felt like these were drawn first as if it were alongside the first comic/storyboard for the Winx Club show. I defintely felt like these were drawn first as if it were alongside the first comic/storyboard for the Winx Club show. Some frames have a more realistic art style, and some are more rought. I thought the story was good as we need that Bloom intro from the show but it placed as a flashback to ensure the first comic was more engaging for a reader. I liked this comic as it shows Bloom’s relationship with her family and her life on Earth that she’s left behind. Mike’s disbelief even after seeing magic is funny, and Vanessa shows how supportive she is of Bloom. It also leads to exactly before the first frames of comic 1, so if you wanted to read it as the first comic you could.
