The new releases this fall are just killing it. I like the recipes with a side of history format for cookbooks and this didn't disappoint, plus there's loads I've bookmarked to try. Get to know a little about Santa Fe's colorful history and characters in this cookbook. The authors have organized the recipes by the people who would have made these foods: blue corn atole by a pueblo grandmother in the 1350s, green chile lamb stew by Mabel Dodge Lujan in Taos, shrimp remoulade by Rosalea Murphy (founder of the Pink Adobe), Ghost Ranch Curried Chicken by Georgia O'Keefe, Dennis Hopper's huevos rancheros, and others. Reminded me of a vacation to Santa Fe and Taos. This book captured the essence of New Mexico’s spectacular food🌈;) Bizcochitos! Hold on to what is good, Even if it is a handful of earth, Hold on to what you believe, Even if it is a tree that stands by itself, Hold on to what you must do, Even if it’s a long way from here, Hold on to your life, Even if it is easier to let go, Hold on to my hand, Even if someday I’ll be gone away from you. -Pueblo Indian prayer
