I don't like this book because it is not specific. I think my friend should read this book because she likes cartoon movies. I don't like this book because it is not specific. I think my friend should read this book because she likes cartoon movies.

The book loses a star for the uninspired screenshots-as-a-comic comics that occasionally pop up but the comic adaptation of the movie is well drawn and paced, and the new strips (draw by the talented Guruhiru) are good fun too.

I love Zootopia, it stole my heart the day it came out. I was expecting a graphic novelization of the film, they always do that, but I was so excited to see there were more comics to be had. I want a comic series of these 2, this is the perfect premise for a graphic novel series of just amazing police investigations and mystery adventures. I want it so bad. The book itself is fairly standard size, like a basic paperback novel. the pages are more like regular book pages instead of the glossy comic I love Zootopia, it stole my heart the day it came out. The book itself is fairly standard size, like a basic paperback novel. the pages are more like regular book pages instead of the glossy comic pages, so it felt like I was reading one of my old comics, at least to my fingers it did. The only issue is that because of the size some of the images feel cramped on the pages, and the words are a little hard to see, the paper quality plays a part in clarity, and I really want these stories redone on larger glossier pages for better quality and clarity of lettering. Anyway, the first story starts on page 13 and it's a drawn comic novelization of the film, it's only 52 pages, and it really feels rushed, but movie graphic novels usually feel more like summaries of the film anyway. The other comics are pretty short and simple and had small fact sheets in between. I, at first, was not expecting the fact sheets, but after seeing other Zootopia books it seems the fact sheet stuff is a common theme [probably because this is a buddy cop movie] but I really don't need another fact sheet that I've seen almost everywhere else please and thank you. Aside from the fact sheets there were 2 scenes from the film shown all the way through in stills. One was the DMV scene and the other was Judy realizing she's been hustled. Honestly the DMV scene is funny no matter what medium its shown in. But I don't know why these 2 scenes, which weren't drawn out, just taken as stills from the movie with added voice bubbles, were added into this book. They're not really comics and they don't really do much for the book. Sure they're fun to see but I just find them to be out of place. Still the short comics were fun, my favorite one was young Judy solving the theft of her families carrot before the big county fair. I would love to know more about Judy, how she was as a kid [during school hours, over the summer, did she have summer jobs, did she do college??], her siblings, how her parents met. I wanna know about Nick and his mom, how Finnick got to where he is [and where he got that sick van dude]. Like I just want more, and these short comics barely gave me enough of a taste of that more. Please make more [longer] comics of Zootopian adventures. Thank you.

I love Zootopia with all my heart. It is one of my favorite movies so I was pretty excited to find this graphic novel and read it, especially since there were stories in there that were not shown in the movie. I expected to read about the movie, but did not expect to have it so unorganized. There would be a story about the movie than some facts about some characters or place and a new story we haven't seen yet, but the timing of when those stories are were so off. We'd be in the middle of the movie story and then have a story where Nick is already a cop and then back to the movie story where he's not a cop. It's that sort of organization I don't like. Overall, I enjoyed the new stories and reading the film in comic form. The book also smelled amazing. If it wasn't for the weird timing, I would give it 5 stars.

I'll admit, I only read the comic portions haha. And I love it! I really love the universe it's in and I especially love seeing Nick and Judy working together as official partners in the ZPD. I also enjoyed the little stories showing the different buroughs of Zootopia. Easy, fun read ! I'll admit, I only read the comic portions haha. And I love it! Artwork is good but the novelization of the movie is kind of lack luster. While I liked the little facts about the setting and the world but I kind of wished we had more comics as the book shined when it was like a collection of random stories of the setting.
