5 🌟 Liked seeing the descriptions of each character. Also liked seeing the shots that were taken from the film. Wish there was a little more information though.

Well this was dumb. I am not sure what I was expecting, but I would hope that a Disney published, licensed SW book would at least contain accurate information. Some of the plot points detailed in the character profiles were inaccurate. I won't post them here, just in case of spoilers, but my jaw kind of dropped on at least one of them. Obviously, they don't want to give away everything about the movie, but some of it was just wrong. You can be subtle and still get the plot right. Yeesh. I was re Well this was dumb. I was really, really disappointed by this one! So glad I didn't buy it, and just got it from the library instead.

I bought this book, hoping it might explain more of the the movie...but it did not. Still, it was interesting, but SW books are hard for me to read...guess it is just not really my book genre...but it is definitely my movie genre!

A nice look at the characters & world of “Star Trek VIII”.

Very, very pretty pictures, not super inspiring barebones text I guess. Pictures are worth it, but that's about it. Very, very pretty pictures, not super inspiring barebones text I guess. Pictures are worth it, but that's about it.

With the love / hate relationship emanating over this film, it felt like a relief to preoccupy myself with this little book. What I found inside were great insights partnered with film stills. It provided a look into what the film couldn't show us. No, it didn't go too much in depth but I wasn't looking for that. If you're a Star Wars fan and loved The Last Jedi, this is a great little addition to spend an hour looking into after a Star Wars marathon. I thought this might make me appreciate the movie more or even get to a place where I could enjoy the movie but no. This just reaffirmed for me that it’s not my kind of story and it doesn’t matter the format, I just don’t like it.
