Maybe I am taking this too seriously but this book was oddly situated between common but true career advice and snarky Star Wars jokes. Not sure they pulled it off.

This book has an image from the Star Wars movies on every two-page spread with a bit of "business advice" on the opposite page. The movies are not covered in chronological order (either in terms of when they were released or within the universe) so it is beneficial if you know the movies or the images won't mean much to you. Of course, why would you buy this or read it unless you were a fan who'd seen them all. Here's the extra weird thing, aside from the dark side twist, the advice is actually similar to much of what you hear about getting a job, getting established in that job, looking for promotions, working with others, and becoming a leader. It is advice I've seen in general career books and heard even in academic settings. Just put in a fun way for the reader. You just might want to keep your dark side in check (or not).

Quick, cute and enjoyable, this is a Sith-based self help management book based on quotations from various Star Wars movies. Some points are spot on, some are more edgy. It is put together in a quite clever way. For those who think they can get serious management theory from a set of movie quotes, I'd say "Get a life." My daughter called it a picture book. I'm still counting it as one of my Goodreads books. Quick, cute and enjoyable, this is a Sith-based self help management book based on quotations from various Star Wars movies. A caveat to this review. I am far outside the target demographic for this series. This series is aimed at "budding entrepreneurs" not otherwise specified. Most libraries (where I picked this up; I don't buy books) interpret this as teens. I'm not so sure. I would say it is best suited for upper elementary students, fifth and sixth graders that want to sell more girl scout cookies or walk more dogs. They would be a nice addition to a Christmas stocking, or a good conversation piece for a Star Wars party, but there's not much substantive information here.

This is a very quick read and mixes good advice with Star Wars examples. For example, in the Getting Established section, there is a page titled "Don't bring problems; bring solutions." It talks about anticipating potential problems and having solutions ready then ends with "Assume a double identity and plunge the entire galaxy into a devastating civil war if you have to, but get the job done." 😂 This book won't change your life, but it has helpful tips about what you can do to move up in your jo This is a very quick read and mixes good advice with Star Wars examples. This book is more than just a gag gift. The advice inside is actually worth the paper it's printed on. If someone followed the instructions I'm sure they would find success. The light humor makes it an easy fast read. A great gift for any star wars fan about to graduate college or start their first job. This book is more than just a gag gift. Read this with Olivia-Grace. Fun, super quick read. Really nothing exceptional. Nothing really actually usable or note worthy, but a fun quick page flipper. Glad I borrowed it from the library rather than spending the money on it.

It was an impulse buy when I was at The Last Bookstore in LA, but I'm so glad I got it. The Force works in mysterious ways. It's primarily targeted at business type workers, but there were still some good pointers for a Drug (I mean Dark) Lords of the Sith. Well there are a lot of truths about the workplace in this little book and I feel an awful lot of my colleagues have read the advice in this book and used it to advance their careers. A fun read with some real advice on how to succeed in the modern workplace where hard work is no longer enough.

It's a humourous little cash-in, like "Be More Yoda". But it's central focus is Darth Vader...and god help me, I have loved Vader since he scared the crap out of me when I saw "The Empire Strikes Back" when I was six years old. That's all the reason I need to love this little book. It's a humourous little cash-in, like "Be More Yoda". nice one - don’t take it literally Creative short read, better leadership advise coming from the users of the dark side of the force. Quick read, more of a joke, but with some neat advise.

This should be subtitled: Who Moved My Cheese... With the Force. It's actually helpful in its advice; as long as you avoid too much Force choking, of course. This gets 5 stars on the concept alone. A hilarious Vader “self-help” book with quotes from the movies! Does it give out useful advice? To some degree. Is it a perfect read? Not at all but it is fun.
