Arc received from netgalley in exchange for a review. I love when you read a blurb about a book, and think "that sounds great" and when you actually read it, it has you almost addicted. This was that story for me! I seriously considered calling in sick to work so I could finish it. Jessica Mason, loves her job and her company that she runs with best friend Alex, she has a 19 yr old son that she had when she was sixteen, a thriving business and now a major contract with Somers hoteliers.... This was that story for me! I seriously considered calling in sick to work so I could finish it. Jessica Mason, loves her job and her company that she runs with best friend Alex, she has a 19 yr old son that she had when she was sixteen, a thriving business and now a major contract with Somers hoteliers.... This is the huge high profile case she has been waiting for. But with that contract comes Nate Somers, the son to CEO who will be staying in Sydney to oversee the new hotel on the harbour. She enjoys her life, expensive clothing and all but boring social life. With an ex-husband that she is still friends with, life is pretty good... just one thing is missing, a man, a love life, sex! Nate Somers has lived in his father's footsteps, or should I say fixing his father's PR nightmares that follows his affairs with women much younger than he. So this project is the one he needs to prove he is ready to take over control of Somers hotels ftom his father. Nate is used to travel and living out of a suitcase, he lives and breathes his company, even leaving his ex-wife and daughter behind to persue what he wants. the situations are not ideal but he makes them work. After settling into his apartment at the new hotel, he heads to Kick to get the projections for the new hotel, meet Kicks staff and project manager Jessica. Their attraction is obvious from that 1st second, but Jess must keep a level head - she needs this project to be perfect and hooking up with a client is not something she is interested in. As Nate and Jess spend more time one on one, and working so closely together it is only a matter of time before they give in to thrir attraction to each other. What begins is an intense affair, but with that comes a proposition, no strings attached, hot, sweaty WOW sex. They both enjoy it emensly, but when feelings start to happen to both Nate and Jess, they must step back and remember this is a part time thing. Nate us only in Australia for 6 months, and the building, plans and interviews take up most of their time. Needing a break Jess heads to the country retreat she frequents she comes face to face with her ex-boyfriend Troy Smith from high school, and her son Conner's father. Not ever being aware that he was a father, he realizes that he has missed almost 20 years of his son's life. Wanting back into Jess's life Troy pulls out all the stops to get her back. But knowing she doesn't feel the spark that hits her every time Nate so much looks at her, on the other hand he has a stable job and lives in Australia and is clearly still in love with her is it enough for her to walk away from Nate? And will Nate just walk away after his 6 month stint. Who is the man that can give Jess ehat she wants? As life becomes more full on Nate must decide if he can walk away from Jess after his time in Australia or will a new situation make him revise all his plans. I loved that this story was set in Australia using familiar ereas that I was aware of, and that the main characters were smart, professional (well most of the time) & loveable. They really reeled me in. I am disappointed to see this end, I want more Jess, Troy and Nate!!!

Review can be read at It's About The Book 3.5 stars Okay. This is a sensationally hot, evocative writer who can take a tantalizing story and give it great dimension and character. I, unfortunately, do not like wanky men and I found Nate to be excessively so, which made it hard for me to like parts of the story. Jessica is an extremely accomplished marketer and event planner and has built a business with close friend Sam. When they are approached by the Somers Hotel group to launch the opening of their new, luxury hotel on the coast, it’s unbelievable and exciting. When she gets to the first meeting, drenched and late, it’s to find that leading the Somers’ group is not the matriarch but the son and heir, Nathan. Who is incredibly attractive and seems to like her. Bingo! But, how unprofessional to make eyes at someone you’re working with… Luckily, he’s making eyes right back. After an awkward encounter ends with a passionate kiss, both agree that they need to keep it strictly business…which doesn’t last. They begin a “fling” that quickly becomes more than just fun for each of them…but who is going to break first and admit it? Their rules include no sleepovers and never spending time together over weekends or going on dates, but both start to wish for more. Both Jessica and Nate have children. Nate’s daughter is with a bitter ex-wife who is the reason that he doesn’t want to get close to anyone again for fear of being used. Jessica’s son was born when she was sixteen. An unprotected round of sex with her high-school boyfriend right before he left town gave her a lovely child but an ugly memory. Her ex, Troy, had never responded to any of her attempts to let him know about his son, so she’d married another and raised her son with him. After catching him cheating on her, she’d divorced Graeme and was now single. As both children and ex-partners come into play, Nate and Jessica become jealous and angry at each other when really they have no right to. Flings don’t get to get mad about those kind of things, do they? These two need to decide what they’re doing first, and then figure out if they can make it work between them. I found both of them having unrealistic expectations, but mainly Nate. He felt things that Jessica did were unforgivable and was completely unprofessional. I was quite unhappy with his behavior and found it unrealistic and unfortunate. I wouldn’t have just walked away from him, I would have RUN. What an asshat! Which is why I gave it a 3.5 instead of the 4 it deserved otherwise. A great, sexy read. Just beware of the jerk.

Arc received from netgalley in exchange for a review. It’s just another client. Just another event. Clear the head. That’s it. Let’s go. If only it was that easy. Welcome to the not-so-simple lives of our endearingly stubborn yet professionally ambitious, and emotionally damaged characters: Jessica and Nate. Welcome to the not-so-simple lives of our endearingly stubborn yet professionally ambitious, and emotionally damaged characters: Jessica and Nate. To have a female protagonist who is not a weak female, and one who accords just as much importance and priority to her work as her male counterparts, is such a refreshing change. For it is not often that books written in the erotica category cater to women readers while keeping their respect and professional life intact. It could have turned out to be just another Fifty Shades parody had it not been for Joyce's creative twist of characters and tale. Thankfully, the twists were convincing and imaginable. Both our hero and heroine share commonalities in the past: Nate is divorced, which happened because he apparently married a pest who was after his wealth, Jessica's past is even more complicated with a string of flings. So much so, that at a point, even she remarks, "I will have two kids with three fathers". She says it is insane, and oh, how right she is. I'll have o admit though, the book was very similar to FSOG trilogy when it comes to the crucial points. But, the narrative is fresh, which gives the book brownie points. It is a simple read and can be finished in a day, it so glues you too! No mysteries, but there is a sense of tension which breaks at points which most suit the reader. The best part to look out for in the book are the business meeting. They are amusing, hilarious, professional, utmost business-like, and yet bring the edgy angle into the plot. The ending is the best part. The woman is not a timid human being who will give in to the man's will. She refuses to let go of her will and ambitions, after all it was this ambition and common passion towards their professions that brought the couple together! And again, the narration is so good! Even if you aren't a regular reader of this genre. this book might just strike as a recommendation.

It wasn't exactly what I was expecting. Jessica is an admirable woman--strong and dedicated. Then she meets Nate, the guy behind the account she has taken on... and sparks fly. It's obvious there's something more to them, something they both want to explore, but conflicts kept coming into play, some that made sense and some that really didn't make sense. Throughout, Jessica is trying to remain professional, but keeps getting drawn in by Nate again and again, despite what it could mean for her company. And then Troy returns to her life, things become even crazier because (spoiler alert) he is the father of her son, Connor... and Troy didn't know this. Jessica is dealing with a lot--conflicting emotions and her job on the line, so what will she choose to do? Propositions fell a little short of my expectations. I anticipated a love triangle, especially since the synopsis clearly pointed to this, but there wasn't one. It was clear from the beginning who would steal her away in the end. Also, of the conflicts throughout, about fifty percent of them weren't completely believable. It felt almost like it was conflict for conflict's sake. I will say that despite all of that, I will give an A plus to the love story because I did enjoy the relationship between Jessica and Nate. My Rating: Pretty Good

I am a city girl at heart and as a result I am extremely fond of stories that are set in a bustling metropolitan area. This book has two very strong main characters, hotel magnate Nate Somers and successful event strategist Jessica Mason. Nate has hired Jessica's company to handle the opening of his new hotel on the waterfront. A successful hotel launch will catapult Jessica's boutique firm into the big leagues, while ensuring Nate's position at the helm of his family's hotel conglomerate. To begin with, the cover of this book is hot, which personifies the relationship between Jessica and Nate perfectly. They are a passionate couple and I really liked how Ms. Joyce interpreted the love at first sight perspective. Their love scenes were both sensual and sexy. I liked them both as individuals as well. Jessica worked very hard to be where she is today, owning her own company while raising a now adult son. Nate grew up with an overbearing father, who to this day is constantly pushing his buttons. Not to mention a gold-digging ex-wife and a lovely daughter that he is barely allowed to spend time with. Both are divorced, with an extreme need to succeed in their professional lives. Propositions is a refreshing and touching contemporary romance. It is complete with desire, well-defined characters and a compelling storyline. The wonderfully executed epilogue is the pearl of the oyster. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

I received and ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. It was refreshing to read about a heroine that is smart, successful, independent and very likable. I also loved that she was NOT in her early twenties but an adult with an adult child. And the Hero was wonderful too (at least for most of the book). He was equally as accomplished and the equality of their situations made the romance seem so much more believable than others in this genre. And the Hero was wonderful too (at least for most of the book). He was equally as accomplished and the equality of their situations made the romance seem so much more believable than others in this genre. This story employed one of my favorite tropes, the "no strings attached" romance that inevitably grows strings, and it was done very well. Trope #2 is the "does she or doesn't she have feelings for the long lost (but recently found) love". I'm not usually a fan of triangles, but this one hit all the right notes for me. Nate and Jessica were very steamy together and watching them struggle to deny their growing feels while trying to convince themselves that the relationship was "just sex" was enthralling. I did have one (or two)issues with this book or more accurately with our hero. Near the end of the book there are conflicts that arise that didn't quite ring true for me. The behavior of Nate in particular during these two separate "situations" just seemed OOC and not that likable. Further more, prior to this, he was never portrayed as dumb, but his behavior in one of the instances was just plain ridiculous. Overall, these minor issues did not significantly detract from a great read. I really did enjoy this book and I finished it in one sitting.

It was admirable that she went after everything she wanted even though so much had happened to her. Everything changes when her agency wins a contract for the opening of the Somers Hotel. Nate Somers is a also a workaholic who will one day take over his Father's business. When they meet each other they know that they have instant chemistry and they start having an affair (there's not really any cheating involved). Their time in bed is hot, guys! On one of the weekends, she goes away and she runs into her ex boyfriend who realizes that he still loves her and peruses her endlessly. You have to read the book & know that there are a lot of things that happen. The blurb only tells you a bit of the story. Not everything which was great because I was surprised at some parts and happy as well. Overall, this book deserves a huge 5 stars! A great debut novel by Tania Joyce. Like she was a successful emerging-powerhouse in her industry, not some secretary working below her love interest or a barista looking for a better job and falling for a celebrity. Yeah, Nate was sort of famous, but Jessica wasn't some damsel who needed him to lean on. In fact, she was as work-obsessed as he was. I absolutely loved that :) I also liked how there was side drama for both Nate and Jess; his ex and child, and her son and the son's long-lost father. Truly a great read and I look forward to reading more from this author!

This book had a good storyline, and some very hot attraction between chatacters. I liked the twist of the long lost ex coming back into the picture amd I enjoyed how attentive and understanding he was. I really enjoyed the scene when he met with his son. I do feel like Nate could have tried a little harder to figure out how to be together. But I really enjoyed Jessica she seemed to have it together even when things were going wrong. A nice strong woman.

How refreshing to read a story, a good plot with strong characters set in sassy, chic parts of Australia. The Hunter Valley and Sydney scenes were a welcome change to the romance genre. Great escapism. A book I would recommend to take on a relaxing day to the beach or snuggled by the fire. Looking forward to the next chapter in the main characters' lives. Nate was the very worst- his unprofessional and unpleasant behaviour left a sour impression that drove a massive hole in the romance for me. Rather than hoping for a happy ever ever, I was wondering how long it would take for Jessica to wise up and dump him. Even Nate's money didn't compensate for the awful personality. The Jessica & Nate attraction was evident but wasn't really convincingly portrayed as anything more than skin deep and seemed more lust fuelled than anything else. Maybe Nate's father was a window into his future. Nate just seemed like the sort of rich jerk that has ex-girlfriends in 6 inch heels climbing out of windows and racing down long flights of stairs with the only thought in their minds: to escape, then queuing up outside court offices on legal aid to file the restraining orders to keep him away.

The storyline was well-developed and flowed well. The romantic *love-at-first-sight* aspect coupled with the love triangle thrown in by the arrival of an ex, Troy certainly spiced things up between the main characters of Nate and Jess. The pages of sizzling romance and sexuality were tastefully crafted and developed. A lot of the story was realistic, and the characters were likeable for the most part; a little 4.5 stars – Tania Joyce’s Propositions – Strictly Business was a great sensual read. A lot of the story was realistic, and the characters were likeable for the most part; a little bit of Nate grated me . . . and Jess’ *frequent* running away as well was annoying. Troy was especially likeable. He’s such a sweet, gentle soul; and I’m looking forward to reading his story in the author’s next book : )

Thank you to the author for an advance copy of this book. This is a mix of contemporary love story and women's fiction. I don't usually read a story where there is a possibility of a triangle or a lot of baggage from prior relationships, i.e. children. I did like the story of Nate and Jessica though because it is well written with compelling characters. I liked the fact that they worked together to make the event of Nate's new hotel opening such a success which in turn would make Jessica's compa Thank you to the author for an advance copy of this book. Showing the strength of their individual lives and careers. I liked the sexy love scenes that helped build their story of a twosome. Overall this was a very enjoyable book.

This is the first book in the Strictly Business Series. This book is set in Sydney, Australia. Jessica and Nate were great characters and the author made you feel like you were their special friends. A well written story with a strong plot and great characters. Two people who have strong work ethics and a passion for each other like no other. Drama from the past surfaces and no spoiler here – but it's a great read. I received an arc copy and voluntarily chose to review this book. This is the first book in the Strictly Business Series. This book is set in Sydney, Australia. An exciting story about Nate and Jessica. They met when he went to Sydney to open a new hotel. He hired Jessica as head of promotions. Both were workaholics no time for a relationship. The chemistry was intense so they gave in to their feelings. Nate had a daughter that he seldom saw because she lived with her mother in Singapore. Jessica also has a child with Troy which he wasn't aware of. Lots of drama. Happy ending. An exciting story about Nate and Jessica. They met when he went to Sydney to open a new hotel.
