Like most folks who would seek out this book, I have a kid who likes the show. We enjoy cooking together, so we were pretty excited to try it out! However, it turned out to be quite a disappointment. The book is riddled (pun intended) with misspellings, nonsensical sentences and directions ("Burrito meat"...is "burrito" a verb? How do I burrito this meat?), and instructions with no reference (it will instruct you to do something like "uncover the potatoes" but nowhere in the previous instructio Like most folks who would seek out this book, I have a kid who likes the show. We enjoy cooking together, so we were pretty excited to try it out! However, it turned out to be quite a disappointment. The book is riddled (pun intended) with misspellings, nonsensical sentences and directions ("Burrito meat"...is "burrito" a verb? How do I burrito this meat?), and instructions with no reference (it will instruct you to do something like "uncover the potatoes" but nowhere in the previous instructions will it tell you to cover them!). There is also one recipe that calls for one teaspoon of beef... The bottom line is that if you are familiar with basic cooking, you can sort of extrapolate meaning and intention from this, and mess around with the recipes a bit. However, as you may know from watching the show, deviating from the recipes could have dire consequences! I gave this two stars instead of one because it isn't expensive and we will be able to take most of the recipes and correct for any issues, but no way would I recommend it.
