I really enjoyed this series and would like to read the next one in line if I could figure out which one it is. Funny, adventurous, quilt unbelievable, yet... still calling my name.

I read these book as I had read other books by Steve Higgs and found them engaging and amusing. In this series of books he has managed to create a central character who is an older female. The situation that has her ending up on board a luxury is incredibly contrived but somehow manages to be believable relatable and extremely funny. Patricia Fisher, the central character is a sympathetic character, constantly pointing out to herself, and the reader, she has no idea what she is doing. Patricia Fisher, the central character is a sympathetic character, constantly pointing out to herself, and the reader, she has no idea what she is doing. She is assisted by Jermaine, her butler from her suite, who also happens to be gay (but one who shows he knows how to fight) and Barbie, her assumed 'dumb blonde' fitness instructor. The growing relationship between them is as entertaining as it is heartwarming. Each book (there are 10 in all) is a complete stand alone mystery in its own right but all feature the backdrop of world cruise. I read them back to back despite which I did not find that I was bored by the characters or that I needed a break. Overall and individually they are a very entertaining light read.

Too much fun! Join the recently divorced amateur sleuth who managed to acquire a year-long cruise of the world after solving a very important mystery as she has one adventurous sleuthing per book. It's so nice to have them all in one place without having to dig around in my TBR pile! These are such antidotes to stress! Too much fun! Quite a humorous series. I loved Patricia and all her friends in every book. Just starting the second series about her life as a PI. I couldn't put it down until I finished all 10 books. I cannot think of a kind word to say about the main character; I did try to like her, but no go. The plot is farfetched and unamusing. I would rather have the story from the butler's point of view. I cannot think of a kind word to say about the main character; I did try to like her, but no go. The plot is farfetched and unamusing. This message is for the author. I appreciate that you can churn out books so rapidly but to my way of thinking maybe you should slow down and concentrate on your editing. The mistakes are numerous and annoying.

This is a series of short novels that are humorous cozy cruise ship mysteries. I loved the way Mrs Fisher got on board and then got tangled up in her first mystery. She’s a courageous middle-aged woman coming of age. These are light and fun farces, with good tweaks to the plot along the way. Mostly Delightful. Book6-7 we’re the low spot for me. I was tired of Mrs Fisher saying she almost peed a little all the time and the old guys passing gas. Both funny the first time, but overused. In book 5, the author uses a doctor character to insert a political statement against masks, claiming “masks are useless.” The author is entitled to his opinion, but when it yanks the reader out of the story and into current events it’s a fail. For the record, surgical masks work for what they are designed to do: protect people with weak or compromised immune systems from YOUR germs. Medical personnel in operating theaters, intensive care units and new-natal nurseries wear them all the time. They do not protect the wearer from other people. You need an N95 or a respirator (properly fitted and correctly worn) to do that. Back to the book. The main problem with the Ebola scenario was that the reader was supposed to be concerned for Jermaine and the captain, yet Mrs Fisher could waltz in and out of the quarantine area wearing a respirator and the attitude of “I’ve already been exposed so I don’t need protective gear like gloves or gowns and I don’t have to worry about spreading it around the ship to my other friends.” If the main character doesn’t react to a deadly virus like it’s a deadly virus, then the reader doesn’t either. Thankfully, books 8-10 were more like the earlier books and I enjoyed the stories and Mrs Fisher’s return to England. One last comment on book 6. Perhaps Mr Higgs should check his female facts. “I found an underwire bra which was a relief to put on” said no woman ever.

I love this series and Patricia Fisher! Mr. Biggs wasn't going when he said it would keep you up all night trying to figure out - who dun it?🤔😁 A series of personal growth, self discovery, unlikely friendships, trips around the world and of course - murder. I think I would really like this book as a series on Hallmark Movies and Mystery channel. It wasn't very easy to figure out who the killer was, but the dialogue and situations Ms. Fisher finds herself in are quite funny. I rather love the book w I love this series and Patricia Fisher! Great for a rainy day, long flight or drive.

Exciting, Breathtaking, Fantastical, and Delightful I've absolutely enjoyed every one of the 10 Patricia Fisher mysteries in this collection. Cruise Ship Mysteries Steve Higgs is a wonderful and crazy writer! He can come up with some of the best stories ever! I have to say that reading these mysteries was a thrill. I've always wanted to take a trip on a cruise ship but haven't had an opportunity to do so yet. However, after reading this set of books with Mrs. Fisher, I plan on going as soon as I figure out when and where. Unfortunately I am pretty sure I won't have as much fun or adventure as she did! A fantastic read First, this is not one of those sets of books where the author has written one book then chopped it into a number of books and called it a series. Each of these is a stand alone, but you'll really want to begin at the beginning. Thoroughly enjoyable from page one, these mysteries will challenge you if you enjoy trying to figure out who dunnit, or will just provide you with hours of fun reading. Amazing! I cannot express how wonderful I've found these books. My words are insufficient. The Patricia Fisher Mysteries fascinated me from the start! This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuously. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading. I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and this is my honest review. This is a brilliant read. The four-star review relates to the need for editing in each of the books. I often caught myself editing instead of relishing the story. I enjoyed the misadventures of Mrs. Fisher and friends aboard the cruise ship. Each book stood alone while referencing previous crime-solving challenges. The characters developed along with the story, giving the reader the opportunity to watch their growth. My favorite character was Jermaine, the loyal butler.

The absolute best time I’ve ever had. For the first chapter I felt like I was meeting my new best friend. Oh the adventures we’ve had! I’ve been rooting for her from the get go through scares and murders, kidnappings and shootings, all while waiting for out next well deserved gin and tonic. I hope you love her as much as I do. I can’t wait to see what comes next. So long, Charlie!!

Great read Steve Higgs has gained a new fan. I love that the stories have twist and turns and doesn't drag on. He is a great writer. Only downside is I am only sleeping five hours at a time now because I stay up too late reading. I love that every story is a clean read, no curse words and blasphemy just to make a filler in a bland story. Every book of that series was awesome. He brought his characters to life and really makes you root for them. Great read Steve Higgs has gained a new fan. I love that the stories have twist and turns and doesn't drag on. Delightful Thoroughly enjoyed this series. Was disappointed that Mrs Fisher didn't feel like she was in love with the Captain. She certainly was in lust with him right away. Fabulous Read! If there were 10 stars available, I'd give these twenty. Exotic locations, luxurious surroundings, handsome, sexy men, good gin, and a working class woman with smarts and the ability to think on her feet- what more could a slightly middle-aged woman ask for in a spectacular read? Thank you, Steve Higgs. You have created "Quite the Woman." I want more. Fabulous Read! If there were 10 stars available, I'd give these twenty.
