Stone, Wind and Sea I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this collection which had me hooked straight from the start and then never let go. The three principal characters are all introduced individually within a section of the various books, which allows you to get to know them very well before moving on to the next one. In the first book, Fen and Karliss are very well fleshed out, together with their friends and supporting characters, but it is only in the second book that this happens to Aislin as well. All three have a natural affinity with their powers to some degree, but all undergo many years of training, in one form or another before they can start to use these powers effectively. This to me always makes the character, as well as the story, more interesting and believable. There is a whole host of supporting characters, all of whom are well written with believable traits and quirks, plus a few old characters from the immortality and Chaos series pop up as well. The bulk of the story is centred around Fen, Karliss and Aislin growing up, learning about their powers and trying to fit into their society, but slowly becoming aware that there are other forces at work which threaten their way of life and which they will have to confront. A very engrossing read.

Excellent Story! Actually, excellent stories! Wonderful characters in a well developed world. I highly recommend this series. Stone Bound - A great beginning to what, by all indications, will be an amazing series. This tale follows three kids who are very special. Fin, Aislin, and Karless are born with affinities to stone, the sea, and the wind respectively. We learn about each of them and the struggles they endure in their early lives as they work toward learning who and what they are. Each sto Excellent Story! Actually, excellent stories! Each story is unique and compelling and would be an interesting tale on its own. The implication that their futures will eventually combine is intriguing. I highly recommend it. Sky Touched - Loved it! Great continuation of the stories from the first book. I'm looking forward to seeing how they tie together. Sea Born - Yes! More please! The characters develop and become stronger in their powers. Their stories continue and get even better! Bits and pieces are starting to come together and reveal parts of the back story. I can't stand it. Write faster, I want to know what happens next!
