Putting on a show I think this is going to be my absolute favorite of the Othercross series! How could it not be when the authors started it off with a brooding hottie, a sassy house, a stone cold protector, a generations long curse, a change in destiny, and a semi-reformed party girl? I can only imagine where the authors are taking this series next, and I can’t wait to see it all unfold.

Uhm. It was ok? And that's being nice. It spends too much time building Kelly up as an immature little girl in an adult body. Thank goodness there's Ronun to swoop in a save the little girl from someone telling her she's an irresponsible little shit. Vapid. She's vapid. That's the word. Eventually she decides she loooves Ronun and wants to help him. Tragically their development is mainly in her head, in the same childlike WANT/MINE vein. It would be amazing to take this exact premise, and give it to maybe Kristen Painter or Robyn Peterman? It'd just be... so so much better.

Wow! I liked this so much more than I thought I would. It wasn’t on any of my “to read” lists. I saw it was an audio book on Scribd and… listened to it while working on other things. The heroine is the type of girl I hate, but for some reason, the way she is written, I really liked her. And I think I can tell she is going to grow up and be better. Her hero is grumpy, damaged, and hot… the kind I love. And her house is sentient. I have read a couple of those and it not adds to the fun.

There were moments when the expected humor and turn of phrase by these two authors brought the expected laughter and chuckles. But those were few and far between for me. The story itself was interesting, there are characters introduced that I would like to see where their journey takes them, so I’ll most likely pick up the next story in this series. Unfortunately, the reason I simply could not get into or really like Witch in Charge comes down to one character, the main girl, Kelly. There was nothing about Kelly that I could like to be completely frank. I continued with the story hoping that her redeeming moment was about to happen – and for a short time I thought she had – but then she went back to even worse than before in her behavior, her attitude, and her words to the man she supposedly loves. Then came the moment when I was just done with Kelly. I finished the story to see what happened to Ronun and the other roommates… but Kelly was beyond redemption for me. I snuck a peek at other reviews and found them to either love beyond description or similar to my own kinda liked but not enough for a high rating. I’d considered DNFing this one at several points yet there were those other characters I wanted to know how Witch in Charge turned out for them. So. Yeah. Torn is the best description I can find for my reaction to this story. It’s obvious that this is a story that many readers love – so my final thought is this: I didn’t love it but I’m sure there are others who will, and I’ll give the series another try with the next book. I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Okay...I'll be honest I kinda didnt love Kelly's character at first. I mean she's the annoying party girl without a care of who she affects around her and kind of a brat and let's not forget totally shallow. She's kinda selfish that way. However, she grew on me and I know she definitely grew as a character which is what I liked. I liked her character from the other series and to be honest I didnt quite know she was that annoying until she got her own story haha. All that said I enjoyed the book but it seemed to drag in some parts more than others. I loved her roommates including her BFF Ryan and the vampire Nathan who lives in the basement. Ronun...you cannot blame him for disliking her immensely...I mean she decorated his gargoyle which is him in his sleeping state and he's cursed to boot. In her defense she really didnt know he was a man a few hours out of the day but she'd know if she paid attention to anything other than herself...I know I said she grew on me but that still doesnt mean she's off the hook with her treatment of some people/objects. Just sayin. I liked him a lot and although he seemed stuffy and grumpy at first he really wasnt. Just under a lot of stress and wanst a fan of being dressed up and messed with. IT was humiliating for him so I get it. However, he started to relax and be really funny and sweet. Cute book and I look forward to reading more in this series!

But the house likes him. Kelly's current problem is that she needs to find her family's missing spellbook so she can figure out how to rein in the house, impress her boss and break the curse that turns Ronun to turn to stone for half of the day. Wow - Kelly was so focussed on the fun I was amazed that she could actually keep breathing at times! Ronun was a seriously hot guy who was also seriously into Kelly too. I liked their love story and the complication of the curse. The ending was great and I loved the way that everything ended although they did have to get through a number of trials and complications to get there. Easy to read and understand. Contains some mature content.

Finally we get to read about Kelly. She is the one I that needs a mate the most. She is finally moving on but boy does she still have a lot to deal with. Being a trapped in that form was a curse from centuries old. I felt for Ronun. He was trapped and not being able to shift whenever was sad. Kelly has such a big heart. She may be a party girl but once she moved into the house, she started changing. She started growing up. Her wanting to help was at times heart tugging. I wanted them to break the curse so these to be happy together. They are such a match. He balances her and she brings fun into his life. But when things look like they are getting happy the rug is pulled out. It broke my heart and then happy. What a roller coaster. I look forward to reading about her roommates’ Tiff, Aurora and Nathan, along with Aurora’s brothers.

I really enjoyed this story! It was a lot of fun. If you have read other books in the Real Men of Othercross world then you would have met Kelly in them. This book is the first in the Real Men Love Witches series and it can be read as a standalone. I loved Kelly and her quirky ways. Good First in this offshoot series set in the Othercross universe, this tells the story of party-girl Kelly and a hunky cursed gargoyle. The heroine is powerful but ditzy, self-centered, and rather immature. Fortunately, the gargoyle proves to be the making of her, and her new internship shows her something she is actually interested in. This was a quick, quirky read, and the sentient house is perhaps my favourite character (making up a lot for the annoying antics Kelly gets into initially). I must admit I've struggled to like Kelly! She is just such a flake and a party girl - she just didn't resonate with me. So I really wanted her story to try and redeem her in my head LOL. Kelly is definitely a party witch. Known as the party girl, and she knows it. She also dresses the part. Her life really has no direction. This one is more like a 2.5 stars to be honest, I spent a bit of time skim reading. I really liked how Kelly grew across the novel, going from a carefree party girl to someone who cared about others and was willing to put time and energy in. She was all about having fun and didn't seem to care how her decisions impacted others. I really felt bad for Ronun. Not only was he unable to change forms at will (due to a curse), but he was stuck being decorated by a child-like woman. Oh, the ignominy. And then we see Kelly growing up once she meets/moves into her family home. From party girl to reasonable adult, her changes show just how responsibility can come about in unexpected ways. Her more playful nature was balanced by his more serious mien. But the HOUSE was great. I want to live in one that has attitude, lets you know I really felt bad for Ronun. FINALLY Kelly's story! And it was so worth the wait! There's so much going on in this story that you definitely need to read when you have to time to finish in one sitting besides you won't want to put it down! Sadly disappointing. Liked Kelly in book one when she did the right thing for a stranger. Unfortunately in her own story, I just didn’t like her, even at the end. I didn’t feel she matured, just gave lip service to loving Ronan. She is written as immature, self centred, spoilt, a party girl who is constantly drunk, spends too much time hungover and has sex with lots of men. I loved the sentient house part but it just couldn’t keep me entertained. The ending was poor and rushed. I was offered this boo Sadly disappointing. I really enjoyed Kelly’s progression from party girl to normal adult. As expected the author’s told you enough so that you understood the character & her surrounding characters without boring you with useless info (unlike some who seem like they are just trying to up the word count of the book). There are some very racy scenes but they are well written. Overall the storyline drew me in kept me reading & made me want to know more about Ryan, Nathan, Tiffany, Aurora & her brothers. I even doubted there would be a HEA for a bit, lol. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

Kelly has had a really rough life cause of looking her parents. But if she lost her parents when she was young why would they wait sooooo damn long 2 give her the house? That house is awesome!! Lol 4 the 1st x in her life she actually felt the strong sense of wanting 2 do good in her "new job" or is it a class? I'm not sure, it's more like a little bit of both... She decided 2 help with his curse but not knowing who caused it from the past but she will do anything 2 help if she can. That was soo Kelly has had a really rough life cause of looking her parents. Kelly is one heck of a party witch with sassy to the extreme ! She is often dressing up the gargoyle in wicked funny outfits . When to her shock he shifts into the hottest male she has ever seen ! And nope he is not amused by her actions ! Kelly seems to act without thinking a lot when she verbally and is so far in the wrong ! Still well written and recommended . I was gifted this ARC and wanted to leave an honest review .

Not quite a coming of age, but maybe more of a becoming focused adult. Party Girl Kelly meets stern and serious Ronun just when her free wheeling ways are about to be curbed. It was fun watching Kelly's evolution and Ronun's salvation. In fact, it is my personal opinion that this might be the best within this series to date. I highly recommend this book, Well worth your time and $$. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Kelly Holloway is quite the party girl, never taking anything seriously. Everything changes when she inherits the family home and realizes the gargoyle statute she messes with in the office is really a hot man! It is interesting to see Kelly grow into a more responsible adult. I will say that she seemed more like a frivolous, party girl in this story than she has in previous Othercross books. Kelly was such a refreshing break away in Witch In Charge. Holloway House, it’s secrets, and guests were awesome. It was nice to see Kelly find her way and mature to become a strong witch that could be respected. The fact that she can keep her humor and snark was nice. The magic that happened in the house was fun too. Holloway House is bound to have more antics and I can’t wait for more on all of the roomies.

she is a witch who has just been given another year of being a ward. She then inherits a house and she think it will be a party hose. Things are not going to be as she thinks, she will have two housemates as well as the house going against her. What will she do? How will she get on? Follow her to see how she gets on I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Party witch, Kelly, is flighty and in need of new direction. It comes in the form of a new internship with a crotchety old curse breaker. Working at night brings her into contact with Ronun, the flesh and blood version of the Gargoyle from her old bosses office. When she learns he is cursed, she knows nothing more important to her than helping him. That and a crazy house too! I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and am happily leaving a review.

Well... Very interesting premise, but with very little follow through. I stopped at 75% when I realized I didn't care. They were having sex for no reason other than it was plotted. No chemistry, no emotion, she's just a witch who has random sex whenever she gets an itch. I kinda feel sorry for the guy. Well... Very interesting premise, but with very little follow through.
