Another good one by Penny Wylder. This one was a sweet second chance romance with a YA feel. Ryder and Jenna grew up best friends. Jenna was dirt poor and struggling, while Ryder and his family helped her through those tough times on their farm. Ten years later Jenna is sent by her real estate step-dad back to her friend Ryder's farm to talk them into selling the land. Jenna is reminded of all the good from her childhood and the deep connection she always had with Ryder. Ryder has grown into a sexy hard working man with the body to match. He was hurt when Jenna left and never contacted him, but being around her again renews his deep feelings for her. Not to mention their instant chemistry. Jenna has to chose between the life she thought she wanted or a chance at a love you only see once in a lifetime. Even though this is an ARC, I will always shoot you straight. The small town farm guy who is still hung up on the love of their life woman who has traded in their country roots for the big city, who later returns to fall in love with the man they left behind. Yes, it seems repetitive, however; I am a sucker for her Big Man books. The author does sweet and dirty sex so good. ENJOYMENT / CHEMISTRY: I love Ryder’s and Jenna’s chemistry. I really have nothing bad to say about them. Once they are between the sheets, they spice things up. I also like that they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. SECONDARY CHARACTERS: Jenna’s mom, what a waste. I am realizing in the author’s books, the moms are always jerks. Troy, loser. Melody, Ryder’s sister, needs her little get away to the city and come back to find her small town man. Overall, a sweet small town read with spicy love scenes. I love the Big Man books. But honestly, I think it’s the men that I am in love with more than the books hahah. One more thing, I don’t think the title Big Man’s Wife fits this book, at least the wife part. ***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful. I absolutely loved this second chance romance from Penny Wylder. Jenna heads back to the small town she grew up in after ten years in order to convince her childhood friend and crush to sell his farm to her stepfather. Since Jenna left town without saying goodbye to Ryder they didn’t end on the best of terms. Despite all the years apart there is still a ton of chemistry between Jenna and Ryder and plenty of attraction between them. While Ryder isn’t happy she has shown up again, he can’t seem to turn her away. I loved seeing the two of them reconnect and try to ignore the connection to one another, but that quickly changed. Now Jenna has to decided if she wants to live the new life she rediscovered or go back to her old life and give up the one person in her past that truly cares. If you’re looking for a fast paced, steamy, second chance romance this is one to check out!

Loved this romantic tale! Fantastic, believable story of a childhood romance, given a second chance. And a love finally realized between the two. Being happy is what’s the most important! Well done!

Going after your DREAMS This book is completely and utterly AMAZING. The chemistry, the passion, the strawberry bushes... this is one of Penny’s best books yet. Every thing she writes about is so lifelike. You’re going to TOTALLY enjoy this book. I’m SO looking forward to seeing what’s next. Jenna agrees because she wants to keep up her lifestyle, but once there, she begins to second-guess herself. Is there more between them than just a possible business relationship? Commentary: Jenna was a bit of a spoiled brat, but that's understandable since her mom dragged her into that kind of family. Truly, I don't think Ryder had too much to be mad at. He was mad because Jenna "left him" but they were friends back in the day and he never told her how he felt about her. And she didn't really leave; her family moved, and she was still a child so she didn't have a choice. He was mean to her and I have to believe that it's because he felt guilty or embarrassed. The other alternative is that he isn't very smart, and I would hate it if that were true. Next book in the series: Big Man's Claim

Jenna left the small town living when her mother married Troy, a wealthy man, and left her childhood friend Ryder behind. Now ten years later a business preposition brings them face to face, and they can't keep their feelings down. I enjoyed the heat that sparks between them and how well developed these characters are. way to short Cute read. Way too short. Cute love story though she realizes the farm is where she needs to be and gives up her fancy life in New York to come back. There could’ve been more to the story but it’s another short story. If you don’t like short stories don’t read it literally read in less than an hour.

I am not sure where the title fits in with this novel, Big mans wife? This is a novel about a city girl traveling back to her roots and finding the love that she once had in a boy and the land... The plot is a good one, not great but the love interest is there for all to see.

This was a fun, quick read. There was plenty of steam packed into this condensed book. For a shorter book, the author did a great job of creating a realistic plot and giving enough backstory for clarification. Really enjoyed it.

Cute read but nothing spectacular Honestly, the title did not fit the story at all. “Big Man’s Wife”??? I mean, yes they got married in the end but that occurs in most romance. Just lazy. Passionate second chance trope. Could be read in an hour.
