Oh my god that ending though.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. ”Are you ready to play, Love? I’ve been waiting to show you the real me.” Don’t mind me I’m just going to anxiously bite my nails off till I found out what’s going to happen !! I mean seriously... I did not see that whole thing with Remi and her mom like the what the HELL. We all know Rhys is killing him self inside over the whole thing. The whole situation is fucked. 😭 I need the next book NOW😬😬😬😬😬🤯

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. This is 2 stars by Amelia Hutchins standards. Lets start off by saying this was a little too incestuous for me. I mean the hero sleeps with mother and daughter. It was gross. I mean maybe have them throw up when they discover this. It's gross. Also the hero was a wimp, zero faith in our heroine. Girl ends up knocked up and our hero disowning her. He lost all of my respect (granted it was already minimal after he lets his brothers "play" with the heroine) at that point. Often I was confused reading this. I would circle back trying to see if I missed something, but I didn't. Like I'm still sort of confused. The ending was so anticlimactic. Like seriously, that was the big reveal and our heroine goes on a murdering spree in a couple pages. I may read the second book in the series but recommend that you wait for the second book to be released before starting this one.

Ok, so I have absolutely no idea how to write this review but I needed to do it for my own sanity! Firstly Amelia is one of my favourite authors and she pushes how I feel way out of the box. I'm super unhappy with Rhys right now but I know that at some point I will forgive him for all that has gone. Remi, however, while I didn't love her in the beginning I was definitely a fan by the end of all of this and I KNOW that there are going to be times where I am not a fan in the coming book/s but I do know with her strength I will always be a huge fan of her. Anyway..take a deep breath and if you're sensitive don't like any darkness then this is not the book for you! This is my honest and unbiased review.

Wow This story is jammed pack full. Amelia Hutchins hit gold in my heart with how it turned out, and that made me so giddy. The action and the dance was creative and sucked you in. The ending was my favorite so far. I canr wait to see how she will bring him to his knees. Hope she makes him beg for forgiveness. 1 like

Fun, feisty, fabulous read Wow what a fun romp this was. Rhys VanHelsing a alpha succubus demon and Remy Silversmith a whole lot more then you expect. When these two meet fireworks and feuds explode. Strong well written characters, alphas you hate and women you cheer for. Amelia never disappoints. This is part of a series so a mild cliff hanger. I absolutely love Nyx and her unfiltered mouth. I didn’t see any of the secrets being revealed coming. I was completely shocked by some of them. I hope Cole finds a special lady. Rhys is almost on the same lines as Knox with his vengeance. There’s some steamy scenes. I need the next book out so I can see what will happen with a pregnant Remi! This book also felt almost exactly like the same plot line with some tweaks as The Nine Realms series..... not complaining though

Hey, don't get me wrong. I love the sexy tension and sex thrown in there-- but can we have some story development?? Character growth?? This kind of had an odd pacing with the editing needed here and there which creates some information hiccups when you are reading. If you like a the whole "damsel in distress" thing for over half of the book with no story development except repetitive sex (until the last 20% of the book) and the male MC also has his head up his a$$ and thinks that one henious past b*tch encounter, entitles him the to be the biggest a$$hole to the main MC... Then this is your book. But this could be my fault? I mean... "Damsel" is literally in the title. I don't know what I was expecting? I have liked some of the author's other books, so maybe this was morbid curiosity? In the end, I might just be a masochist. I will let you draw your own conclusion (if you read this book). Enjoy~!

Then match that with her bff and it just becomes eye rolling. Amelia should finish her on going book series instead of starting a new one. It seems like her original style is changing and unfortunately if that is what's happening I will stop reading her books. Btw the book was returned.

Another winner! Yet again she has written a book that I cannot manage to put down. Minutes turn to hours, and then I’m finished. Left with this what the f$&k feeling wanting more. If you want PG, go elsewhere. You want plots, twists and turns with steamy dominating characters then this book is for you.

3.5 Stars I liked this book and have a lot of thoughts. While I think the plot is lacking I enjoy the character development. It was hard to put this book down. I find the characters really interesting and like Remi a lot. She's sweet and innocent, but is intelligent and powerful too. She doesn't lie and I love how level headed she is, even though her actions are sometimes frustrating due to how naive she is. She also has a true moral compass. I like and strongly dislike Rhys - he's being TERRIBLE 3.5 Stars I liked this book and have a lot of thoughts. While I think the plot is lacking I enjoy the character development. She doesn't lie and I love how level headed she is, even though her actions are sometimes frustrating due to how naive she is. She also has a true moral compass. I like and strongly dislike Rhys - he's being TERRIBLE to Remi - but his past give his actions at least a little clarity. I understand why he's broken, even though I disagree with his actions. I also like that he's an alpha male but not too in your face about it. Things I don't love- I do think the world building is a little off in this one - I'm not fully immersed in their world because the alphas and how the different species are interconnected doesn't make a ton of sense. This could be because I haven't read the proper books? I think I saw this was a re-release - but I couldn't figure out what that exactly meant. The plot isn't entirely clear? The "main issue" the characters are dealing with isn't particularly clear until well into the book? (view spoiler)[ At first the issue was Remi needing to find her mom (this was quickly abandoned after Rhys "captured" her). Then ok, Remi needs to escape to then find her mother (nope not happening, she eventually seems to give up?). Finally towards the end the storyline transitions into Rhys needing a Silversmith to ensure the other Silversmiths don't step up to take over the world - because now we find out that Aria's mom is actually a very evil lady (which ok I did not see it coming that her mom was actually Roslyn!!!) (hide spoiler)] The thing that actually is having me round down in the star ratings and made this impossible to rate as 4 stars - (view spoiler)[ The whole unwanted pregnancy trope towards the end. I HATE this trope and this will automatically lower the rating of any book that has one (even though I adore Amelia Hutchins). I want to read about the two characters relationship - I don't want them to have an unexpected child when they aren't even sure they are going to be together in the long run. ESPECIALLY in this case when Remi and Rhys have 0 relationship beyond having sex and maybe being mates? But now Rhys hates Remi because her mom is his ex-lover who ruined his life and started this whole curse and war in the first place (which is also just a little yuck). (hide spoiler)] And my last thought - This book seems to have a very similar vibes/characters/issues as Amelia's Legacy of the Nine Realms books. Not sure if this book was written first (still confused about the re-release thing so if you know PLEASE explain in the comments) - but Aria and Knox's relationship and conflict feels almost identical to Rhys and Remi's. Here are the similarities between Aria/Knox and Rhys/Remi: - h's family murdering H's family - H only wanting to have sex with h - literally wants nothing else and no emotional attachment due to his past - H taking advantage of h's innocence/naivety - H's brothers also wanting to have sex with h - h being crazy powerful due to an unknown father - h with powers related to fire (view spoiler)[ Remi is literally a Phoenix and I'm 99% sure Aria is one too (even though at the time of writing this review there have only been 3 books released in the Legacy of the Nine Realms series (hide spoiler)] - h being created to be H's mate - h being created by her father to save their world I really like the Legacy of the Nine Realms series, but Remi is basically Aria. I do find Knox and Rhys slightly different, but they have a lot of overlapping qualities too. I took an additional 0.5 star away because they are way too similar.

Remington Silversmith has been told her whole life to avoid the Van Helsing’s, they are families enemy. They are the ones that cursed her family that every time they she uses her magic is becomes accident prone and clumsy. Being a member of E.V.I.E where she is the weapons master, she has been able to prevent coming in contact with anyone that can recognise her as a Silversmith. When her mother doesn’t answer her calls she must come back home to find out what’s going on, but a lot of things have change in the 5 years she been gone. If you are familiar with Ms Hutchins’ writing then you know she loves to write, alpha-hole males, bada** heroines, with twists, turns, suspense, down and gritty, hot and steamy, dark, emotional books. And this is no exception, in her true typical style we get all that and more. Another highly addictive read by Amelia Hutchins. Proving herself once again that she is the Queen of Paranormal. Remi may be a little naive and young, but when she starts to get a handle on things watch out cause she is going to set the world on fire. Remi had no idea what she was walking into that first night and she has been playing catch up ever since. Rhys Van Helsing, is a true broken and misunderstood alpha-hole which AH is famous for giving us readers. She knows how to write exceptional males that you love to hate, and Rhys isn’t going to be the exception. A devastating event, a grudge, a promise and punishment, these are probably the best words to describe the events that caused Rhys to be the way he is. He blames himself for the “event” that destroyed his family, his family and him hold a grudge against the Silversmiths for said event, he makes a promise to seek revenge, then punishes himself for guilt over the event. Can’t wait for book two to be released as that ending was off the charts unexpected and a major cliffhanger. ”Are you ready to play, Love? I’ve been waiting to show you the real me.”

Our leading lady just brushes it off like someone gave her a high five she would rather avoid... A bunch of brothers touching her private bits despite her repeated rejections, that was annoying but forgotten... Then she rebounds, no problems, after a seriously violent and rapey scene with vamps literally tearing her open... I CANNOT! It is such a bummer because when you can peel all the garbage away, the underlying, mostly ignored, plot is unique and could be interesting. The main character has moments of maturity and bravery while speaking her mind that are very admirable. But alas... YUCK! Hard pass. Will not continue.

Worst read yet. I'm 37℅ of the way through the book and I cannot read another word. What absolute tripe. You may consider it an ill choice of words to use when saying the gaping plotline holes are apparent. To boot, the relationships are toxic and unsurprisingly produce nothing but toxic waste accordingly. By and large, all are juvenile. Characters "with no filter" make crass comments even when their friends life is in danger. Please, sign me up. At other points the main just blurts out whatever they're feeling in a mistaken bought of so-called shyness - it just shows lazy writing and short cuts through meaningful dialogue and interesting exchange that you, as a paying customer, have to READ THROUGH, creating the basis of personality and a relationship. How this was edited, I'll never know. This work is just childish. If I regard it that way, I can be more kind. A colourful splash of colours next to world of all calibre of quality.

I would have devoured this book in one sitting if adulting and real life weren’t such annoying distractions. First of all, Amelia Hutchins ALWAYS delivers! Out of all (ok ok...most) authors, Amelia is by far my favorite. Not only is she down to earth and genuine as a person (trust me I am part of her Facebook group), she is such a bad ass writer and her storytelling is beyond amazing. All of her books/series has made me cry, happy, want to kick ass, want to have sex, pull my hair out in frustration and rip my husband’s clothes off and have my way with him. Not in that order. This book is such a great read and I highly recommend it. A part of me wishes that I had held off reading it until the second book was released, but I couldn’t help myself and now I am suffering for it. Oh well. Totally worth it. Just gonna be a nag on the fb group and ask until Amelia releases it lol. Kidding so not kidding. Trust me. You want to read this book and any book from Amelia. Happy reading!

Bulletproof Damsel is SO GOOD!!! This is another brilliant, fascinating tale from the amazing author, Amelia Hutchins. OMG! This is only the Third book I have read by Amelia, and I am HOOKED!!! The way her mind works is unreal. The plot twists, and the changes that you don’t see coming just never end! The worlds that she writes in are scary, and harsh, yet you still get the strong, heartless alphas as well as the tough, beautiful, and badass female leads. This book is book one in the series and I just can’t WAIT for the next one! Shifters, Vampires, Fae, Incubus, Nymph and otherworldly characters come to life in this novel. I couldn’t put it down, and lost sleep because of it. And it was so worth it. I highly recommend this book to people who enjoy urban fantasy, things that go “bump” in the night, and lots of steam in their reading. You really should get this book. Escape reality for a while and come into Amelia’s world. You will be so glad you did.

The Queen has done it again! This is a MUST OWN! Just finished Bulletproof Damsel and Amelia Hutchins is a BEAST! The History and storyline here is a dark and winding path that leaves you turning pages on the edge of your seat. I absolutely loved the heroine Remi. One beautiful, amazing, and loyal young woman on the brink of discovering "is home really where you lay your head?" Of course, we all fall for all of Amelia's Alpha bad boys. Awesome Ending I loved the plot and the characters in this book. Great character development in not only the main characters, but the secondary characters as well. And the ending rocked! It wasn’t a total cliffhanger like many authors torture the readers with. Totally need to read the next book ASAP, but only because the first one was sooo good. (And I need to see what happens next, lol)! I will be looking for more releases by Amelia Hutchins. PROS - no matter how intimidated or humiliated she is, Remi always keeps her head up and doesn’t show weakness. - love rejected mate stories. Though they weren’t actually mates, they were bonded together. I can’t wait to see how Remi makes Rhys regret his actions. I hope it’s brutal. - Nyx provides so many good one liners. - Hot and very steamy! I hope it’s brutal. - Nyx provides so many good one liners. - Hot and very steamy! CONS - there was so much lack of detail and rushed scenes that a lot of times I was left confused. 1)The Silversmith curse was not explained very well and I didn’t quite understand it until further into the book. 2) what were Van Helsings? Was their purpose to fight vamps or were they just simple sucubus? 3) the fight scenes were confusing because of lack of detail. For example when the Van Helsings and Remi are attacked outside of her house all Remi states is that there was blur passing by her. Then in casual conversation she mentions that they were vamps. It would have been more exciting to know this during the fight. And what do the vamps look like? 4) Rhys mentions his demon but I don’t know what that means. Does he have another entity living within him or is it just his conscience. 5) Remi started glowing at one point and markings appeared on her skin. I don’t think this was ever addressed. 6) Remi is kidnapped and tortured but we only get a few details. Torture is one of things I want detail on because it makes revenge sweeter. However, we don’t get to see any revenge so I guess I’d doesn’t matter. 7) the build up to events was poor. Things just happened without any “ta da” moments. 8) the lack of detail is throughout the book. I’m usually a fan of minimal details but the author excluded important details. - Remi is annoying at times. The Van Helsings are suppose to be Remi’s mortal enemy but she accepts that she has been kidnapped pretty easily, she provides a lot of details about the Silversmiths and she forgives Rhys no matter how rude he is to her. - really wish we had Rhys’s POV. I think having the POV from the hero and heroine always makes for a better story. - don’t like the pregnancy plot. Remi just realized her power and got her memories back. I want to see her adapt to her new self. Overall, I enjoyed the story but it could have been very good with additional detail. It seemed like the author wrote this book really fast without a lot of thought. However, I will read the next one.
