Thought provoking I felt anger, no I lie.... I felt rage. The story was so haunting in parts. The rage was felt for the prisoners and their treatment. I know this is fiction however you can't deny the history behind it all. CF is a talented writer. Now to go to the next book. Hopefully the next one won't bring me to the brink of tears! A rare book that feels as if it was written in the 1950s. Tonight I watched HBO "The Survivor" which reminded me of my parents and their stories about their lives and losses at the hands of the Nazis. It was a double hit to the gut, which left me in tears for my father, mother and all the relatives We never met. The horrors of the Concentration Camps, the crippling trauma and unending grief was palpable many times, growing up and listening to thier stories. I would sit and cry, while they talked; A rare book that feels as if it was written in the 1950s. I would sit and cry, while they talked; as I did watching this movie, reading this book. I guess I needed that trauma bond with my parents.

My Musings While there are many aspects of this book, the characters don't have much depth. When loved ones died it was brushed over by them. I also felt disappointed in the ending. Happy reading! My Musings While there are many aspects of this book, the characters don't have much depth. When loved ones died it was brushed over by them. I also felt disappointed in the ending.
